Thanks, you just provoked me to get started again. I can post as much as I like. If you don’t like it, then you can just choose not to read what I have to say. The bottom like is that I am right and I am not going to have idiots tell me otherwise.
Truckers are important, no doubt, but the majority of them do not obey the rules of the road. And from what truckers here are writing, the problem is they don’t even know the rules.
1st of all, there will always be bad drivers, in every kind of vehicle.

i am on the roads for 6-12 hours a day, and the most dangerous drivers i see, by far, are driving cars. just to say most trucks don’t obey the rules of the road is just plain ignorant and shows your lack of experience sharing roads.
alot of car drivers create dangerous situations around big trucks without even realizing it. 18-wheelers are very large, very heavey, and are awkward to maneuver. especially on city streets. if a car driver is impatient, or unwilling to give enough space, problems happen fast.
fines for truckers have more then tripled in recent years. stricter guidelines for inspections are set every few months and are enforced by the DOT(MTO in ontario). same with log books and hours of service. most truckers i know are very responsible, patient people. if a trucker is not, they will not be a trucker for too long.

My Dad has been a trucker for about 20 years, and hes been on the road non stop these days since the Economy is so bad we cant find jobs here anymore.
And the roads up north are really icy hes told me hes seen trucks flipped over on the highway and huge accidents.
Hope god is with all those Truckers risking there lives on the Road.

My father in law was killed by a trucker who fell asleep at the wheel.

Very sobering imagery. Many… perhaps all of these accidents could be prevented if people were willing to slow down, and let themselves be five minutes late to their destination.
Is life truly so short that -this- is an acceptable risk?

i like the very beginning, about the percentage of wrecks caused by impatient sons of bitchs that cant wait two seconds to let two trucks pass. i think every person in the world needs to ride in a big truck at least one day of there life. i guarantee people would wake up at least most would there still is some that are just that stupid.
