James Scott Farrin a sponsor of the Great American Tobacco Duck Race

Durham, NC (PRWEB) October 28, 2010

The Law Offices of James Scott Farrin sponsored the Duck Decorating Contest at the annual Great American Tobacco Duck Race, part of the 2nd annual Fox 50 FamilyFest, held at the American Tobacco Campus (ATC) in Durham, NC, on Saturday, Oct. 2.

In addition to the sponsorship, Attorney Tara J. Williams, head of the Intellectual Property Department, and Sharra Eurto, human resources manager, manned the James Scott Farrin Duck Decorating Tent.

“We all had a wonderful time,” Attorney Tara Williams said. “The weather was perfect and there were as many adults who enjoyed decorating ducks as children.”

The firm’s COO, Eric Sanchez, helped judge the James Scott Farrin Duck Decorating Contest, along with Mark Roberts and Greg Fishel of WRAL-TV news; Sonya Williams of Fox 50’s Tarheel Talk; Wool E. Bull, mascot of the Durham Bulls; Stormy, mascot of the Carolina Hurricanes and Luck E. Duck.

It is estimated that about 4,500 people attended the event, sending 1,500 ducks racing down the Ole Bull River which runs through the center of the American Tobacco Campus. Prizes were awarded to the best decorated ducks, as well as the first, second, third and last-place finishers.

Approximately $ 32,000 was raised to support the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle, Explorer Post 50 and Duke University Children’s Hospital.

The Interfaith Food Shuttle provides food for people at risk of hunger in seven counties in the Greater Triangle Area. In 2008, it distributed nearly six million pounds of food through partner agencies and direct distribution programs.

Explorer Post 50 is a youth-based television broadcasting program for youth aged 14-20 which is sponsored by the Capitol Broadcasting Company.

Duke Children’s Hospital is one of the nation’s premier children’s research hospitals, with 28 comprehensive pediatric specialties.

The final part of my 4 part series on the life of a truck driver on the weekend. However the next series will focus on trucking on weekdays, and some of the more fucked up things that go on. It's not all roses, but anyone who has been following my vids knows that.

Yet another butchered song from the mouth of a filthy truck driver :) This song i cover Green Day’s “Good Riddance” Kinda a memorial to the fact that the power company cut power to idleair today, not even 2 seconds after i finished recording this song.
