World Premiere of Poem of the Adventurer (Zelda) With Pianist Martin Leung at Video Games Live LA 2011

The “Video Game Pianist” Martin Leung premiered “Poem of the Adventurer” by Michael Glenn Williams, featuring themes from The Adventures of Zelda, on the 25th anniversary of the Zelda game. The performance was part of the Video Games Live concert and E3 conference, at the Nokia LA Live Theater.

“Poem of the Adventurer” was written for Martin by American composer Michael Glenn Williams. Williams attended the premiere.

“Martin is a concert pianist, trained at Yale. Martin Leung is breaking new ground performing Poem of the Adventurer, music with the popular appeal of video game themes and classical virtuosic technique” praised Michael Glenn Williams. “His performance was both artistic and full of bravado. He has a huge fan base, with millions of views on YouTube. It is thrilling to have Martin as an interpreter of my music.”

Video Games Live orchestra tours major performance venues throughout the world, with Martin as soloist.

The performance coincided with the E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) conference in Los Angeles. Video game composers conducted their music for games such as the upcoming Warcraft®: Cataclysm, Resident Evil 5, Civilization IV, The Lytch King, Castlevania and the Tetris Opera.

Michael Glenn Williams music is published by GWhiz Arts & Sciences. Poem of the Adventurer was featured in the March/April 2011 edition of International Piano magazine.

Traffic & Viewers Explode for powerTV Online Video Network as Leading Marketers Take Notice
